🎙 The Campus of Excellence for Health, Autonomy, and Aging Well in Île-de-France hosted its first meeting on January 18 at UPEC.

In response to the aging population shock:

  • +49% of people aged 75 to 84 by 2030

  • 50% of the French population aged 85 and over between 2030 and 2040

🤔 How can we attract, train, and especially retain talent? Professions related to the elderly face recruitment challenges. Attractiveness must be further reinforced through better communication and enhancing the image of careers in elderly care. The focus was on the need to:

1️⃣ Improve the quality of training by better preparing individuals for real-world situations

2️⃣ Provide better support for those trained to prevent (many) failures, especially during internships

🚀 This is where immersive technologies allow individuals to virtually confront multiple gestures and postures related to elderly care.

❤️ For human-centered professions, the awareness of what awaits the learner after training is key to their long-term motivation and engagement. Simulating difficult social interactions helps determine if one is suited for the job and, if so, facilitates skill development in a safe learning environment.

🙌🏼 Additionally, training centers working with us, such as the Greta of Marne, which trains home care aides, use our VR modules at trade shows to present a modern and innovative image of the profession… helping to attract more talent!
